The Carbon County Board of Elections met on Wednesday morning in the Commissioners' Conference Room of the Court House Annex, Jim Thorpe, for the purpose of determining ballot positions for races in which there are multiple candidates on primary election day, May 19.

The board, consisting of Lee Becker, Wallace Putkowski and Frank Jacobs, had oversight of the casting of lots, conducted by Lisa A. Dart, director of elections, and Jane Krebs, department clerk II.In each case where there were multiple candidates, officials placed tiles into a box that corresponded with the number of persons running in that race, and tiles were picked alphabetically for each of the candidates, with each tile bearing the numerical ballot position for that respective candidate.The results were the following ballot positions:DemocratsCarbon County Commissioner (four-year term; nominate two) 1.
