An Orwigsburg man will serve as director of Schuylkill County's victim/witness program.

The county salary board on Wednesday approved the transfer of Jonathan Phillips from the district attorney's office to the position, which pays $42,147 a year. Phillips had been a part-time assistant district attorney.In a related move, the program's former director, Janice Huth of Frackville, was transferred to the job of interim first deputy in the Clerk of Courts office, where she'll earn $34,435 a year.In other personnel moves, the board appointed Barbara Seebold of Shamokin as assistant director of nursing at Rest Haven, the county nursing home. She'll earn $58,341 a year in that position.The home is in the process of being sold to Nationwide Health Care of New Jersey.Other Rest Haven actions included the appointments of Adrianne Kulak of Frackville as a full-time licensed practical nurse at $17.31 an hour and Amber Dino of Schuylkill Haven as a full-time nurses aide at $12.69 an hour.The board also terminated the employment of full-time nurses aide Christine Mavricz of Tamaqua, and part-time housekeeper, laundry aide and floor care tech Brandon Hoffman of Schuylkill Haven.In other matters, the board accepted the retirement of prothonotary clerk Diane Robbins of Frackville; appointed Diane Seiler of South Manheim Township as a clerk-typist for the Children and Youth Services agency at $12.79 an hour; promoted Joseph Kriesher III of Sheppton from telecommunicator 3 to supervisor in the 911 office at $$18.69 an hour; appointed Zane Moran of St. Clair to case management specialist in the Drug & Alcohol agency at $37,749 a year; accepted the retirement of corrections officer Ruth Machay of Tuscarora; the transfer of Karen Rogers of Mahanoy City from clerical aide/victim advocate in the district attorney's office to clerk 2 in the Clerk of Courts office at $11.76 an hour; and appointed Sharyn Yackenchick of Wayne Township as accountant/auditor in the controller's office at $37,447 a year.
