The Pleasant Valley School Board approved the following Thursday night:

• Approved an extension to the Coordinated Health Athletic Trainer Agreement. The annual cost is $30,000 through the 2017-18 school year.• Approved homebound instruction for three students due to medical reasons.• Approved Joann Mastronardi to move from a part-time 10-month secretary to a part-time 12-month secretary, replacing Kristen Pierri, who was the full-time secretary.• Approved the transfer of John McCutchan from part-time courier to full-time courier at 5.75 hours per day.• Added Diane Metzgar as an additional custodial substitute.• Moved Jared Rechenberger from custodian at Pleasant Valley Intermediate School to Pleasant Valley Elementary School, Monday through Friday, 3:45 p.m.-12:15 a.m.• Moved Carol Rothrock from custodian at Pleasant Valley Elementary School to Pleasant Valley Intermediate School, Monday through Friday, 3:35 p.m.-12:15 a.m.• Hired Regina Denaro, substitute monitor/secretary/food service employee; Jennifer Dunne, substitute teacher-PreK-4/paraprofessional associate; Sabrina Roman, paraprofessional associate, part-time/substitute paraprofessional associate at Pleasant Valley High School at a prorated salary of $10,165.50; and Dawn Dunbar-Gerenday, part-time/substitute paraprofessional associate at Pleasant Valley High School at a prorated salary of $10,165.50.• Hired Zdenka Hic, substitute food service employee; Regina LaBadie, part-time paraprofessional associate, substitute custodian/monitor/paraprofessional associate/food service employee at Pleasant Valley Intermediate School at a prorated salary of $10,165.50; Karen Smith, substitute paraprofessional associate/monitor; Dolores Walsh, monitor/substitute paraprofessional associate-library at Pleasant Valley Intermediate School at $8.92 per hour; Florence Weiss, substitute teacher-elementary; Cristian Randeau, part-time paraprofessional associate, substitute paraprofessional associate/monitor/secretary at Pleasant Valley Intermediate School at a prorated salary of $10,165.50; and Jillian Sheckler, part-time paraprofessional associate and substitute monitor at Pleasant Valley Intermediate School at a prorated salary of $10,165.50.• Approved a leave of absence for Marsha Bagosy, Gigi Barton, Stephanie Kramer, Fannie Boeman, Jane Cadotte, Kelli Conway Busch, Diane DiBella, Bonnie Drinkwater, Barbara Farrington, Johnna Kresge, Sarah Labar, Aileen Lorah, Samantha Manento, Maritza Martely-Boasci, Linda Moyer, Christina Novak, Vickie O'Rourke, Kathleen Sadowski, Maria Sarwar, Jamie Schuler, Joan Toolan, George Curcio, Robert Madsen, Rickie Serfass, and Heather Wadding.• Approved the resignations of Ismael Aponte and Jessica Farkas, substitute teachers.• Approved a clinical education experience agreement between Misericordia University and the district.• Approved K-6 summer school. Classes will be held for kindergarten through grade 6 in reading and math. Summer school will run from July 7 through July 30. The daily sessions will be 8:30 a.m. to noon for students in grades K-6 and 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. for instructors. All classes will be held at Pleasant Valley Elementary School. Fourteen instructors and 15 instructional aides will be needed for grades K-6. Instructors will be paid $92 per day, and the instructional aides will be paid $72 per day.• Approved the sixth-grade Sense team to compete at Panther Valley in April.• Approved facility use requests from the Forward Motion Walk/Run Program and PV Ballerz.• Approved Alex Wunder as boys' soccer intramural adviser.• Appointed June O'Neill as deputy tax collector.
