Another weekend storm looms

Bread? Check. Milk? Check. Ice melt? Check.

Patience with yet another mixed bag of wintry precipitation? Not so much.Northeastern Pennsylvania is hunkering down under the threat of yet another weekend round of snow, sleet and freezing rain.According to the National Weather Service, four to six inches of snow is expected to fall between this afternoon and Sunday morning, along with about one-tenth of an inch of ice. The snowfall may be heavy at times this afternoon, with rain, sleet and freezing rain mixing in tonight.Temperatures are expected to remain at around 20 degrees overnight, then warm to about 39 degrees tomorrow. The tropical-by-comparison weather will likely melt a lot of the snow and ice. The melt may run onto roads, and then freeze again Sunday night into Monday as the mercury again plunges into the single digits, edging up slightly to about 13 degrees during the day Monday.Monday night will drop temperatures back down to as low as minus eight degrees, then back up to about 21 degrees and sunny on Tuesday.
