Community dinner

St. Mark's/St. John's Episcopal Church, Race Street, will host a free community dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. The menu for this month is meatloaf and macaroni and cheese.Soup and scriptureSt. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will hold "Soup and Scripture" every Wednesday evening during Lent. The first will be held on Wednesday beginning at 6 p.m. Joan Deacetis will be the leader for the weekly gatherings. A freewill offering will be taken. Chicken noodle soup, bread, desserts and beverages will be served.
