By JUDY DOLGOS-KRAMER

TN Correspondenttneditor@tnonline.comKidder Township Police Chief Matt Kuzma has a warning for township residents."On Feb. 16, we had a report of a white van with three males in Lake Harmony. Two of the occupants approached the home, knocked on the door and reported that they were there to complete a work order," Kuzma reported Thursday at the board of supervisors' meeting. The woman sent the men away and immediately contacted the police.Kuzma said the van is white and has the name "Dauphin Electric" on the side.Kidder Township police contacted Dauphin Electric, which confirmed that they do not operate in this area, that they do not make residential calls and are in fact an electrical supply distributor.Anyone seeing the van should report its location immediately to Carbon County 911.Earlier in the meeting, the family of junior firefighter, Joseph Plavin, 16, spoke out about injuries he suffered at a chimney fire on Feb. 2.Joseph's sister Nicole Plavin, said the Lake Harmony assistant chief knocked the chimney cap off, which struck Joseph in the head. His sister said Joseph's injuries are serious. He is expected to be out of school for at least another three weeks. The family said shortly after Joseph was injured he received a letter from Lake Harmony Fire Chief Ralph Lennon admonishing him for "cyberbullying" regarding the incident.Joseph Plavin is a firefighter/EMT who runs with the Kidder Township fire department.Plavin, who lives in Lake Harmony started out at Lake Harmony but when he also joined Kidder because of its EMT squad, Lake Harmony asked him to resign due to a"conflict of interest."The certified letter, sent to the 16-year-old, said if he did not turn in his equipment, it would be reported to the police as stolen. The family also told the board that the assistant chief was not wearing turnout gear while on the roof at the scene of the fire. The family had photographs to support their statement. The board requested that the family provide copies of the letters for their review. The township paid bills in the amount of $162,825 this month. Of that amount, $52,025 went toward the renovation of the municipal building.
