The Palmerton Concourse Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2915 Fireline Road, Palmerton.The program will be Heart Healthy Cooking. Get your heart ready for some "good for you" food.Lyndsey Vaughn, a registered dietitian with ShopRite in Brodheadsville, will demonstrate her techniques for heart healthy cooking.Community mealA free community meal will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave. in Palmerton.The public is invited to attend a free meal and fellowship.Palmer PTOS.S. Palmer PTO will meet at the Palmer Elementary School at 7 p.m. Monday.Heritage CenterThe Palmerton Area Heritage Center, at 410 Delaware Ave. in Palmerton, is now featuring a display of antique toys.The center is open each Wednesday through Saturday.Call 610-824-6954 for a recording listing the hours each day.Admission is free, although donations are gratefully accepted.Historical societyThe Palmerton Area Historical Society will not meet in February.The next general meeting will be March 9.The program will be "Show and Tell."
