Abbott St., Lansford, on Feb. 16 from 1-6 p.m.Participants may walk in or can make an appointment by calling John Karnish at 570-645-3994.NesquehoningVFW Ladies AuxiliaryThe regular monthly meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary to Nesquehoning Memorial VFW Post 8008 was held on Jan. 11, at the post home with President Cheri Santore presiding.Department newsletters were read and filed for action.Thank you notes were received from the VFW National Home and the department president.The Buddy Poppy weekend at Redner's has been set for May 8-10.Any member who can donate a few hours for the weekend should contact Cheri Santore as soon as possible.The May meeting originally scheduled for the 10th has been moved to May 3.District 20 will meet at 2 p.m. Feb. 15.Tobyhanna will host the meeting.A donation was made to Operation Changing Lives, the national president's special project.The next regular meeting will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 8.Please note the time change from the normal 1 p.m. meeting time.Lions ClubNesquehoning Lions Club will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Lengyel's Restaurant in Nesquehoning.All are welcome.
