An 80-year-old Slatington man was killed when his vehicle struck a rock embankment and then another vehicle on Friday.

Charles M. Eaches Sr. of 8633 Brown St. was pronounced dead by Lehigh County Chief Deputy Coroner Andrew H. Kehm.Kehm said the cause of death was multiple traumatic injuries due to the motor vehicle accident. The manner of death was ruled accident.The crash happened at about 3:05 p.m. at the intersection of Best Station Road at Spur Road, Washington Township.The investigation is being conducted by the Lehigh County Coroner's office and the Bethlehem barracks of the state police.
