Two Palmerton residents were transported from the scene of a Towamensing Township crash with minor injuries just before 11 p.m. Saturday.

State police at Lehighton said a 2012 Dodge Ram driven by Jason A. Holden, 30, was struck on the side when it tried to cross Route 209, from Trachsville Road, in front of a 2004 Hyundai Elantra driven by Jaclyn D. Eagle, 21, of Kunkletown.Palmerton EMS transported Holden and his 27-year-old passenger, Brandi M. Winters, to Palmerton Hospital for evaluation.Police said Holden would be cited in the crash.
