Representatives from a firm wishing to locate an upscale retirement community in Kidder Township appeared before the board of supervisors and were met with resistance from many members of the community.

The Silver's Company is in the initial planning stages of developing an age 55 and older cluster housing, active senior, community on a 530 acre tract along Henning Road.No actual plans have been submitted as yet, but the company looks to build 1,036 homes on the tract, ranging in price from $200,000 to $300,000.
