State police at Fern Ridge have updated information on the robbery of a Chestnuthill Township convenience store and injured the clerk.

The clerk, Nicholas Kirk, 19, of Effort, was robbed at gunpoint at about 4:40 a.m. Saturday by two black men who fled in a late model red Jeep.The man who brandished a silver handgun and who struck Kirk in the back of the head with it is about five feet, nine inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He was wearing a dark hoodie, red gloves, gray sweatpants, black shoes and a dark mask.The other man, who stayed outside the store, is about six feet, two inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He was wearing a gold jacket with a fur collar.A witness outside the store said the men ran to the Jeep, which was parked behind the store, and drove north on Long Mountain Road.Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call state police at 570-646-2271.
