Meals on Wheels and the Palmerton Concourse Club joined
in making some people's Christmas spirits a little brighter. Standing, from left, Vinita Horinko, member of the Concourse Club and chairof the Meals On Wheels committee, and Marge Palumbo, alsoa Concourse member and a Meals On Wheels volunteer, present Meals on Wheels client Jean Walk with a gift made by Concourse members. They made four different iris folding designs, which they framed. Iris folding is a paper craft technique that involves folding strips of colored paper in such a way to form a design. The centerof the design forms an iris, a shape reminiscent of the iris diaphragm of a camera lens. Walk was very pleased with her giftand is always happy for visits from Meals on Wheels. "I can't help myself too much anymore, and it means a lot to me to have them deliver my meals," she said. If you would like to become a Meals On Wheels volunteer, call 610-826-1163.
