A family is homeless after fire ravaged their home and an adjacent large wooden structure in Freeland early this morning.

Fire companies from Luzerne, Carbon and Schuylkill counties raced to the 4:30 a.m. alarm.

It was first reported there was entrapment but firefighters rescued the family from the flames. 

Fire crews were still on scene at noon today.
