The Carbon County Planning Commission received correspondence from attorney Joseph Greco Jr. of Nesquehoning, calling attention to dangerous curves along Route 54, the site of the former PP&L Co. power plant, which is now being dismantled.

He recommended that the curves be eliminated by realignment of the highway and that this be included in the county highway's immediate improvement plans.It was agreed to have PennDOT officials include the concept to the 12-year highway planning schedule.
