The registration deadline is Oct. 9 for the 44th annual Lehighton Area Halloween Parade.

Julie Harris, parade chairman, said the event will be held at 4 p.m. Oct. 18. The rain date is 2 p.m. Oct. 19.Registration forms are available at various merchants in Lehighton as well as at the Lehighton Municipal Building.Harris said paraders are permitted to toss candy and gum to parade viewers. They are not allowed to stop and perform in front of the judges' stand.The parade is operated entirely on donations.Send donations to: Lehighton Area Halloween Parade Committee, P.O.
