Lansford Alive receives $1,500 donation

Lansford Alive, a nonprofit organization formed 14 years agoto revitalize downtown Lansford, received a $1,500 donationfrom the PPL Corporation on Monday. "The money will allow the organization to continue to do its good work in Lansford," Sverchek said during a check presentation outside the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development office in Lehighton. Sverchek didn't earmark the money for any specific projects, but said the donation willpair well with a $275,000 Streetscape Grant received after a joint application by Lansford Alive and Lansford Borough.
