Lucille Payne, a resident of Heritage Hill Senior Community in Weatherly, recently celebrated her 90th birthday.

She was born on Aug. 27, 1924 in Hazleton. She resided in Drums for most of her life.Soon after she graduated from Hazleton High School in 1942, she married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Payne II, in February of 1943. They were married for 62 years until his passing in 2006.Lucille has 2 children, Thomas III, who passed away in 1988, and Debbie Walsh. She has one granddaughter, Jamie Basalyga, and two great-granddaughters.Lucille loved taking care of her family, cooking, antiquing and bingo.
