St. Luke's Miners Hospital Cares for Kids 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run will be held on Sept. 20, rain or shine. The course will begin and end at the hospital in Coaldale.

Proceeds will support St. Luke's Miners Community Health Initiatives which focus on children, such as Live Your Life, Reach Out and Read, Reading Rocks, diabetes education, tobacco cessation, Healthy Homes, community safety initiative and "Get Your Tail on the Trail."Miners Campus President Bill Moyer will lead the St. Luke's Team.Race day registration will be held from 9 to 9:45 a.m. with the 5K Run/Walk scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.The fun run will begin at approximately 10:45 a.m.Pre-registration will guarantee the participant receives a T-shirt.For more information, or to preregister, contact Michelle Bowman at 570-773-3500 or at
