The three-day Weissport Redneck Festival was held this weekend.

One couple was disqualified for trying to dump water on the judges.Zimmies and Hot Wings Eating Cook Off: Best Wings in Carbon County First place winner was Mario's Pizza of Weissport.Rednecks Got Talent II winners: Brandee Boroznoss, Lehighton; first place; Erica Gower of Lehighton, second place; and Todd Greene of Ashfield, third place.Ugliest Pick-Up Truck: Harry Rhoades of Walnutport, 1973 FordF-100, first place; and second place, Ashley Scier of Northampton, 1980 Chevy.The Junkman's Contest: Aaron Brewer and Hunter Diehl of Saylorsburg, first place; and Derek and Tyler Berger of Weissport, second place.Mr. Redneck Contest: Warner (J.R.) Fornos of Nazareth, winner; and Miss Daisy Duke was Chelsea Strubeck of Parryville, second place was Jennifer Fenstermaker of Lehighton; and third was Yeisaliz Tores of Lehighton.Watermelon eating contest: Nate Derr of Topton, first place; Jason Phillips Jr. of Palmerton, second place; and Zachory Swolensky of Coaldale, third place.Big Wheel Contest: Lorenzo LaPicollol of Macungie, first place; Owen Hall of Albrightsville, second place; and Abigail Selzer of Lehighton, third place; and Elizabeth Troutman of Weissport, fourth place. All of the entries each received a free ice cream cone from Jerry Abbott of Leiby's Ice Cream, an event vendor.Chariot Race: Ian and Paul Malarick of Blakeslee, firs place winners; and Jamison Chapman and Nick Sheen of Lehighton, second place.TUG-A-war: 1 Ton of Alfies Pizza remained the undefeated champions, beating out the Bubba Maynard Team representing Parryville Fire Company; and the Budro's Team.Deer Rack Winner: Adam Reich of LehightonDear Rack winners: Tiffany Rex of Weissport, first; J Lo of Palmerton, second; and Candace Rapee of Slatington, third. One contestant was disqualified for enhancing her figure with balloons. Beaver of Queens was also quite entertaining.
