The Palmerton Community Festival is marking 25 years with a plastic commemorative mug.

At a cost of $2 the mug can be purchased at a stand along Fourth Street by the refrigerator truck.During certain times at the Sept. 5-7 event you can fill your mug as often as you like with draft birch beer for 25 cents each time.Visit the drink trailer from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5; 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6; and 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, for the 25-cent drinks.And for those who really want to try something special, while supplies last, you can purchase Palmerton Blue birch beer for those who are true Blue Bomber fans or maybe just for someone who is true blue.One side of the mug is embossed with "Palmerton Hospital Festival 1964-1989" and on the other side is "Palmerton Community Festival 1989-2014."To buy a mug before the festival, contact Susan Arner at 484-522-8899 to order and arrange delivery or pickup before festival weekend.
