Reps. Mike Peifer, R-Monroe/Pike/Wayne, and Rosemary M. Brown, R-Monroe/Pike, invite area senior citizens and their families to a Senior Citizens Expo on Sept. 4.

The free event will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Dingman Township Fire Hall, 680 Log Tavern Road, Milford (off Route 739)."Many programs and services are available to senior citizens to help them stay healthy, continue to live in their own homes and plan for the future," Peifer said. "The expo is designed to bring information about those programs and services together in one place to make it easier for senior citizens, their loved ones and their caregivers to assess the options available and make good decisions."Brown said, "In addition to helpful information, we also have several vendors who will offer health screenings, such as blood pressure, hearing tests, prediabetes testing, memory testing and more. I encourage area senior citizens to take advantage of the opportunities available at the expo."Information about health care, insurance, nutrition and exercise, fire safety, financial planning, fraud protection, government services, hunting and fishing, and personal safety will be available.
