A former Franklin Township employee questioned the board about maintenance issues that he believes are not being done in a timely manner.
Former township worker Billy Dorwood asked why the grass is so high along township roads this year and why the air conditioner and camera are not working on the garbage truck."It's been two years since the camera worked," Dorwood said.Road foreman and supervisor Rob Cressley said the air conditioning is working on the garbage truck.Cressley responded to the other questions by saying he was trying to get the grass along highways, but it has been a difficult year. He also said he plans to get the camera fixed on the garbage truck.Dorwood said the township looked better when Ron Solt was road foreman."Two years is a long time to wait to fix a camera," said Dorwood. "It's also been two years since the guard rail on Spruce Street was damaged. In the past it would have been repaired in two weeks."Dorwood said that he was injured on the garbage truck and has been on worker's compensation for the past four years.
