Final concert in the park set in Palmerton

Palmerton residents who enjoy the sound of music may want to attend this year's grand finale concert in the park.

In case of inclement weather, the committee reserves the right to cancel the concert."The committee wants to thank everyone for coming out to the Sunday Evening Concert in the Park Series this year and hopes to see everyone next year," Kercsmar said. "Also, many thanks to all who supported the concert series; special thanks to our sponsors."The free concerts were held on Sundays beginning June 15.Among the bands that performed this year were Old Friends, King Henry, Crazy Hearts, Lehigh Valley Italian-American Band, The Pennsylvania Villagers, Palmerton Band, The Price is Rice, Remember When, and the Hazleton Band.Various donations are secured to provide for these concerts, Kercsmar said.
