This visit is sponsored by Janet Snyder and Carol and Joseph Frey, in memory of Jean Behler.Because there will not be Trima machines this time, more whole-blood donors will be needed to reach the goal. To encourage donations at a time of year when they typically are low, Miller is offering a raffle for a $500 Visa card for donors who register between now through Sept. 7, and for two $100 gas cards each week. This is an added incentive to donate.Donors must be at least 17 yeas old (no maximum age), weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, be in general good health, and have not donated blood within the last eight weeks.Palmerton's drives are always scheduled at least eight weeks apart, and the borough is fortunate to have many faithful donors each time. However, new donors are always needed to replace those who are away, particularly during the summer. New donors should bring photo ID, such as a driver's license. Previous Miller donors should bring their Miller cards. To make an appointment, or for more information, contact George Ashman at 610-826-2097, or at
