Two big concert announcements have been made for Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

Martina McBride, a country music icon who sold out the venue two years ago, is returning for a concert with "The Everlasting Tour" show on Thursday, Nov. 13.Tickets, which cost $45 and $55, go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday. Already they are on sale to Sneak Peak Club members."An Evening With Dennis DeYoung" will occur on and the music of Styx occurs on Friday, Feb. 13. Tickets, $35 and $39, go on sale Friday to the public, but are available to Sneak Peak members.McBride has had 38 charted records, including one of the top country songs of the 1990s, "Independence Day," which has become an anthem against domestic violence.Other hits are "A Broken Wing," "This One's For the Girls," "Wild Angels," "Life Number Nine," and a number one ballad, "Wrong Again."McBride works with a variety of charities. She is currently the spokeswoman for the National Domestic Violence Hotline as well as for the National Network to End Domestic Violence and national spokeswoman for the Tulsa Domestic Violence and Intervention Services.Every year since 1995, she has hosted Middle Tennessee's YWCA, "Celebrity Auction," and it has raised nearly $400,000 so far. In 2004, she worked with "Kids Wish Network" to fulfill the wish of a young girl dying from Muscular Dystrophy. McBride was awarded the "Minnie Pearl Humanitarian Award" in 2003.DeYoung is a founding member of Styx, which includes "Lady" and "Come Sail Away."After breaking away from the band in 1999, he embarked on a solo career. He also has done some acting, including appearing in a movie "The Perfect Man," in which he played the role as lead vocalist in a Styx tribute band.In 2010, DeYoung formed a new rock band dedicated to the music of Styx, featuring new members guitarist and lead vocalist August Zadra and bassist-vocalist Craig Carter. They joined with John Blasucci, Jimmy Leahey, Tom Sharpe and Suzanne De-Young in performing Styx hits including "Renegade,'' "Blue Collar Man" and others as well as DeYoung's solo works.
