Miss Ann Goplerud returned to Palmerton following two years of service spent with a Red Cross unit in Korea.

About two years ago, Miss Goplerud left Seattle by boat, arrived at Yokohama, and was taken to Korea by plane. During her stay, she acted as entertainer and program arranger for United Nations fighting men.While in Korea, Miss Goplerud met three Palmerton soldiers: Eddie Kohla, a Marine who was wounded; John Jones, who has been honorably discharged; and Henry Rodrigues, who is still overseas.
