Oh, possum!

The staff at Carbon County Environmental Educational Center in Summit Hill is all about helping animals.

They proved that yet again this week when Jo deForest, an intern at the center, released a dozen opossums back into the wild. The opossums were orphaned in June after their mother was hit by a car.Since then, the staff at the center have cared for the animals until they were old enough to be released.During the release, the opossums explored their new habitat around a creek behind CCEEC.
