The question of changing the name of the borough of Jim Thorpe back to Mauch Chunk will appear again on the Nov. 2 election ballot.

Judge Albert Heimbach ordered the county election board to frame the proper question to be submitted to the electors of Jim Thorpe upon a petition and motion presented to him.The petition was circulated by Harry R. Bernhardt, Paul Ocker, and John F. Huber, all of Jim Thorpe. It was signed by 448 registered voters, representing more than 10 percent of the 3,017 voters of Jim Thorpe.
