A motorcyclist was injured Tuesday night when involved in a crash along Route 443 in Mahoning Township. The crash occurred just before 9 p.m. in front of 84 Lumber.

The biker was lying with his bike along the south berm of the roadway.

The victim was treated at the scene by members of the Mahoning Valley ambulance then transported to the St. Luke's Miners Trauma Center in Coaldale.

Responding was the Mahoning Valley fire company with fire police maintaining traffic control at the scene including closing down the roadway for Mahoning township police to conduct their investigating of the incident.

It was not known what the bike may have come in contact with or what caused the crash.
