The annual giveaway at the Lutheran Church of St. John in-the-Heights, Jim Thorpe, begins Thursday and will continue through Aug. 23.

The giveaway includes free clothing, shoes, boots, winter coats, dress suits, linens, baby items, and small household items.The hours will be as follows:• 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Thursdays, Aug. 7, Aug. 14 and Aug. 21• 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Fridays, Aug. 8, Aug. 15 and Aug. 22• 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sundays, Aug. 9, Aug. 16 and Aug. 23All items remaining after the event are donated to other ministries, missions or shelters.St. John's is located at 319 South Ave. in Jim Thorpe.
