A Schuylkill County woman was jailed on Monday on multiple retail theft charges.
State police at Schuylkill Haven identified the suspect as Katelin Flamini, 24, of Pottsville.Troopers said on Monday she was observed on video surveillance entering Boscov's Department Store in the Fairlane Village Mall, Norwegian Township, at 10:33 a.m. and taking clothing from a rack and returning it to a gift register as if it was her own and obtained a gift card for $114.99. She was then stopped by store security.Troopers said further investigation revealed that Flamini used the same procedure on July 16 for $105.49, July 21 for $89.50, and July 24 for $118.50.She was arraigned before District Judge David Plachko of Port Carbon on the retail theft and theft by deception charges and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post 10 percent of $25,000 bail.
