A garage in Palmerton sustained damage after it caught fire Monday morning.

Borough Fire Chief Larry Zawaly said the incident occurred around 11:40 a.m. at the garage at 158 Avenue A.Upon arrival, Zawaly said firefighters found the garage on fire.“There was a bush on fire, it went up the side of the garage, and up to the roof,” Zawaly said. “There was very little interior damage, and the structure was able to be saved.”Zawaly said it took about 10 minutes to get the fire under control. No injuries were reported, he said.The cause of the fire in unknown, and remains under investigation, Zawaly said.
