A woman was injured Friday afternoon when involved in a rear-end collision in West Penn Township. The incident occurred just after noon at the intersection of Routes 309 and 443 east. The woman was attempting to turn north onto Route 309 when she was struck in the rear. She was treated at the scene by members of the Penn Mahoning ambulance and transported to an area hospital. West Penn Chief of Police Brian Johnson is investigating the incident. The driver of the striking car was not injured.
