Pocono Arts will conduct two fun workshops for children, ages 8-12, in August. The Pocono Arts Council is located at 18 N. Seventh St. in Stroudsburg.

Simple Printmaking will take place from 1-4 p.m. Aug. 4.In this workshop students will have fun experimenting with different printing tools.Projects will include creating greeting cards and designing wrapping paper.The Art of Cartooning will take place from 1-4 p.m. Aug. 18.In this workshop children learn how to develop their own characters through lessons in facial expression, action poses, costumes and storytelling. This class uses group-brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas.The instructor for both sessions is Suzanne Werfelman, retired art teacher from the Pleasant Valley School District.
