I take away the best from each. Last year I met some very phenomenal people here and I looked forward to coming back. The people who walk through these gates at relay know they're around family. All those funds you raise, I get to see the results of what that money does. It's all worthwhile," Hoey said."They say it takes a village to raise a child. It takes a community to fight cancer," she said.Close of RelayAs the 2014 West End Relay For Life came to a close, the teams walked the final lap to the inspirational song "Roar" by Katy Perry, which could almost have been written with battling cancer in mind."You held me down, but I got up. Already brushing off the dust. You hear my voice, you hear that sound, Like thunder gonna shake the ground. You held me down, but I got up, Get ready 'cause I've had enough. I see it all, I see it now, (Chorus) I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire, 'Cause I am a champion and you're gonna hear me roar. Louder, louder than a lion, 'Cause I am a champion and you're gonna hear me roar."Cancer ... hear us roar.
