Thomas W. Keener, commander of the Carbon County InterPostAssociation of American Legion Posts, presented Andrew Solonoski, a sophomore at Weatherly Area High School, with a certificateof appreciation for his entry in the American Legion's annual essay contest. Solonoski's essay was selected as the winner at the local, county and district levels, earning him $375. This year's topic was "What Is Our Responsibility To Our Wounded Warriors?"
