Large, slow-moving farm vehicles and equipment are traveling rural roads at this time of year, like this corn planter on Fairview Road in Barnesville. "Drivers need to keep their guard up throughout the planting season by reducing their speed and being more aware of other motorists," said Andy Flinchbaugh, a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau's state board of directors. The Farm Bureau said in 2013 there were 87 crashes and two fatalities involving farm equipment on roads. Most occurred during spring and summer months and could have been prevented.
