Mahoning Township Police have arrested a Palmerton woman on retail theft charges.

On April 24, Mahoning Township Police investigated a retail theft at Walmart on Route 443.Loss Prevention reported a female had concealed items inside of a cart and left the store with the merchandise failing to pay for it. The female was stopped by officers on Route 443 in a white Ford Focus, with the stolen items in the trunk of her vehicle.She was identified as Pamela Green of Palmerton and has been charged with retail theft. The items recovered, valued at $293, included clothing, cosmetics and food. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 4.
