It was standing room only at last night's Panther Valley School Board meeting where about 100 taxpayers and teachers turned out for a strong show of opposition to the anticipated furloughing of teachers.

However, before it was all over, five teachers, Rosemary Porembo, Barbara Teno, Robert Henninger, Robert Swartz and Robert Zubey were placed on layoff status.
