It was a busy weekend for Bethlehem natives hoping to make their NFL dreams come true, as three former Bethlehem players joined the NFL ranks.

Liberty's Devin Street was selected in the fifth round (146th pick) by the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday to make his NFL dream come true. His former teammate, Levi Brown (Temple), signed on with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent on the offensive line and former Bethlehem Catholic defensive back, Tevrin Brandon, signed as an undrafted free agent with Kansas City Chiefs.Parkland's Andre Williams also joined the NFL party, getting selected in the fourth round (113th pick) by the New York Giants at running back.To say the least, it may have been one of the best football weekends ever for Lehigh Valley prospects making the leap into the NFL."I think football is definitely growing in the Lehigh Valley," said Street inside of the Cowboys locker room Monday afternoon. "It's all about guys before us paving the way and now we're doing the same thing for younger guys. You always see the talent around here, but some guys get caught up in the wrong things. I hope they see that they can make it here if they put the work in, no matter where you're from."Street sat tight with his family during Saturday's final day of the draft, anxiously awaiting to get picked. Dallas traded up to select the Pitt wide receiver, who had a third-round grade on the Cowboys draft board."I was frustrated, to be honest, having to wait until the fifth (round)," he said. "Everything happens for a reason and I can't be happier than to join the best organization in football. This is only going to fuel the fire even more."Street, like many rookies, now have to immerse themselves in their team's playbooks throughout the next six-to-seven weeks.Street landed in Dallas Monday morning and met with head coach Jason Garrett. He got his playbook and planned to study hard, as well as get in the weight room to beef up over the next two months."I want to put on 10-15 pounds before training camp," he said. "I want to do whatever I can to make this team. I got my helmet, but there's no star on it yet. I have to earn that. Now that this is a reality, it's my job now to get better and I'm going to work my tail off."
