If "A picture is worth a thousand words," then there will be a lot of words expressed at the Friends of the Palmerton Area Library's eighth annual Photography Show on Sunday, March 30. The event will take place from 2-4 p.m. in the library's gallery. Refreshments will be served.
This is an opportunity for area photographers to show and/or sell their photographs. The library invites all photographers to submit up to three pieces. All photos must be framed and ready to hang with a wire on the back and be delivered to the library no later than noon on Thursday, March 27. There is no fee to enter. Each photographer sets his or her own price on each work at the time of registration. If the photo sells, the library keeps 20 percent and the photographer receives 80 percent of the selling price. Photos not sold the day of the show will remain on display for two weeks, at which time the photographer must return to the library to pick up the unsold items. Photographers may of course take home any unsold photos the day of the show if they prefer. If you wish to enter the show or you have further questions, call Diane at the library at 610-826-3424.The library is located at 402 Delaware Ave., Palmerton.
