Election of officers was held at the meeting of the Tamaqua Library Board, held last night at the library.

The new officers are Willis Parnell, president; Dr. Michael Matteo, vice president; Earl Behr, treasurer; Mrs. H. James Moyer, corresponding secretary; and Mrs. Thomas Daubert, recording secretary.The report of the librarians was circulation, 1,280 for adults and 1,377 for juveniles; daily average, 133; new borrowers, 63; reference assistance, 510; new books, 21; records, 22; and donated books, five.
