Hearing on electric rates set for March 20

The House Consumer Affairs Committee will hold a public hearing later this month to gather more information on skyrocketing electric rates for those individuals who entered into variable rate contracts with their electric generation supplier.

State Rep. Doyle Heffley said the hearing is being held in response to thousands of complaints lodged statewide.The public hearing will take place at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 20, in Harrisburg and will be streamed live at
