Members of Coaldale Borough Council are standing up for their position to withdraw from the Panther Valley Council of Governments despite a barrage of criticism this week from officials in Lansford, Summit Hill and Nesquehoning.

Coaldale Council Vice President Robert Hoben said he will stand by his vote to withdraw from the COG and feels Coaldale did not cost the area any funding for the proposed ALS unit.
