A Carbon County man was found intoxicated hitchhiking along a county road.

State police at Lehighton said John Binder, 54, of Palmerton, was found in the area of 1084 Interchange Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, about 9:20 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, hitchhiking. Troopers said he was found to be under the influence of alcohol and acting in a disorderly manner.He was placed under arrest for public drunkenness and taken to the county prison in Snydersville.
