Carbon inmate alleges inadequate medical care, legal counsel

An inmate in Carbon County Correctional Facility has filed a federal lawsuit alleging she received inadequate medical care and legal counsel.

Debra Ann Wilson, who lists her address as the prison, names as defendants the Carbon County Correctional Facility et. al and four attorneys. They are George Dydynsky and attorney Joseph Perelli, both of the public defender's office, and attorneys Michael Greek and Cynthia Dyrda Hutton, who are assistant district attorneys.She is presently in prison on multiple charges including aggravated assault, burglary, criminal trespass, and recklessly endangering. Bail is listed as $100,000.Wilson filed the civil rights complaint without legal assistance on a "form to be used by a prisoner in filing a civil-rights complaint."She said she requested relief with medication and the courts via petitions, but the result was "nothing."Wilson charges "ineffective counsel, lack of inappropriate medical and Civil Rights, neglect, and malicious prosecution," in her handwritten complaint.In addition, she alleges "transcriptional error and computation of incarceration and parole" and "not treatment of PTSD (Army denied veteran coverage)."Wilson is seeking punitive damages for neglect, failure for treatment, and personal loss; computation of incarceration for correctness of record, emotional and physical duress."Carbon County Judge Steven R. Serfass has appointed Attorney Robert S. Frycklund as conflict counsel to represent her for the charges currently pending.The charges against Wilson were filed by the Kidder Township Police Department on June 26, 2011.She has been an inmate at the Carbon County Correctional Facility since June 26, 2011, when she was unable to post the $100,000 bail set by District Judge Joseph D. Homanko Sr.
