Monroe crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported on two crashes on Monroe County roads.

A two-vehicle crash was reported at 10:55 a.m. on Jan. 28 along SR715 in Jackson Township. Troopers said Anthony J. Kuchinski, 63, of Susquehanna, was southbound driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado truck in the area of Cays Road when David A. Anderson, 36, of Bushkill, driving a 2011 Mercedes-Benz, turned left off Neola Road onto 715. Troopers said Kuchinski failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the left side of the Mercedes. After impact the Silverado then struck a stone wall at 1739 SR715.No one was injured. Damages were disabling to the front end of the Silverado and moderate to the left side of the Mercedes. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.Troopers cited Kuchinski for a stop sign violation.A one-vehicle crash occurred about 10:48 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, along Rocky Mountain Drive, in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Jonathan S. Sorrentino, 19, of Effort, was driving a 1997 Volkswagen Golf southbound when he failed to negotiate a downhill, right hand curve. The car began to spin counter-clockwise and struck a tree along the east berm, where it came to rest.Sorrentino was not injured. The car had to be towed from the scene.
