A Dauphin County driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 6:17 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, along Route 125 in Eldred Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Thomas E. Cornwell, 31, of Halifax, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier southbound and approaching a sharp left curve in the road. As Cornwell got closer to the curve he applied his brakes and continued south, creating about 50 feet of skid marks. The car left the road and impacted with a utility pole where it came to rest.Cornwell was not injured but the car had to be towed from the scene. Troopers cited Cornwell for driving a vehicle too fast for conditions.
