State Police at Lehighton barracks reported that William Mount, 64, of Kunkletown died Thursday morning after his GMC pickup truck skidded off the road and hit a concrete pillar on Silver Spring Boulevard near the intersection of Mountain View Drive in Polk Township.

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m.Assisting state police at the scene were West End Ambulance and Polk Township Volunteer Fire Department.Mount was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen has ruled the cause of death as pending at this time until the Forensic Autopsy Report is made available.
